If you're looking to play an enjoyable round of golf on a great course definitely give Tradition a try. Why this course is not rated in the top tier of courses in the Myrtle Beach area is a mystery to me. Aesthetically the course looked great but more importantly it played great. The day we played the greens were rolling at an 11. The fairways were in such great shape the ball could have been played down with no problem. Tradition Club overseeded there tees, fairways and greens. The lies on the fairways were so tight it was like hitting off of dirt, or if they were wet mud. Most of them were not even overseeded,the greens on some were painted. None of those courses come close to the outstanding condition that Tradition is in. The individual who runs the group has been able to get us on all the top rated golf courses over the last couple of months. It was the largest turnout the group has ever had. I had the opportunity to play the Tradition Club this past week with the Flounders group,a group of both locals and snowbirds. Love this track and will definitely be back bigger hitters might not like that 2 of the par 5 under 500 yds and the other 2 are 510 & 520 from the whites. only thing course might be lacking is a tee in between those two. played the white tees 6300 yds 70.7/124, only one longer set, black, which stretches to almost 6900 73.1/135. tree lined fairways from pine, oak, even moss covered willow trees. Very spacious landing areas no tricked up holes.
Course conditions were great from tee to green. that was appreciated and we did shorten our warmup a bit and went out earlier and played in 3 hour 15 min.

there was three 4- somes that had the tee times in front of us and the pro shop let us know that if we wanted to go out in front of them that would be no problem.
